After that, we'll interview IAA archaeologist Eli Yannai who is now conducting a salvage excavation at Tel Yavne. We'll review some of the finds and some of the stories of this past weeks Foundation Stone excavation at the site. Last week on LandMinds (December 22, 2010) the show is all about Yavne. Foundation Stone (together with the University of Hartford - Greenberg Center) is currently carrying out an archaeological search for "The Tooth" - an underground geological anomaly that has puzzled researchers and academics for the last 4 years. As a unique educational and open excavation we have volunteers young and old participating and we invite you to take a look into this fascinating project. We welcome Ruthie Lieberman ( Jaffe Strategies ) to the show as she talks about participating in digging, together with her children. Next, we welcome to the show Dr. Phil Reeder ( University of South Florida ) who has been bringing his experience and professionalism to Israel at the Cave of Letters in Qumran, Bet Saida, and at Yavne . Last up is Aryeh Solomon , deputy director of Yavne Olami who shares his sense of mission in bringing the next generation to Israel and helping them integrate into society. Be sure to join us on the Facebook LandMinds page - there you'll find links and info about upcoming shows and additional material about Jewish history, archaeology and more.
